Sunday, May 30, 2010: Dawson's Pond

Went to a BBQ at Dale and Matt's today.  It was lovely!  Haven't seen them in sooooo long, and it was long overdue.  Today was a HOT day!  After the DiVenti's, we went to visit Jackie and the Dawsons for a BBQ/Bonfire.  Hondo and I went out on their paddle boat on the pond, and it was buggggggy!  We lasted all of 3 minutes and came back to the dock!  It was so nice to see Jackie.  We made s'mores and caught up.  All and all, it was an awesome, AWESOME day.

Had dinner at Jen and Dave's in Ocean City tonight.  Jen made a lovely dinner for all of us.  It was so good to see them and Tracey and Adam.  Of course, it's always a pleasure to see their pupper, Coco, too!

My cousin, Kacie, is getting married next Friday.  SO exciting.  We had dinner tonight...my mom, Aunt Karen, Aunt Kathy, my cousins Kourtney and Kacie and I.  Very nice to be together tonight.

Went to Haddonfield for lunch today, and as I was walking along Kings Highway, I encountered these two sweet dogs.  Their Mom went into CVS and had them on the bench waiting for her.  It was cute.  (Not to worry, on this hot day--close to 90 degrees--a CVS employee brought them out water!)

Horseback Riding...and poking fun!

Today, we painted the pottery that Sarah helped us make last night, tye-dyed t-shirts, went horseback riding, climbed the rock wall, canoed, and I completed the high ropes course.  To end the day, there was a campfire ceremony, and we taught Marlo to play Pinochle.   Another great day!

Friday, 5/21/10: Women's Wellness Retreat Day 1

My mom, Aunt Karen, family friends Mary Anne and Marlo and I attended a Women's Retreat this weekend.  It was held at the sleep-away camp my brother and I went to as kids...Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA.  Tonight we had dinner, then took clay and made some pottery and had a welcome campfire where we made s'mores.  We especially enjoyed the resident Arts and Crafts guru, and all-around positive force, Sarah (seen above).

I had an awesome time running around with my mom tonight.  We went shopping (I got another pair of jeans), took my car to the shop, and grabbed at bite at the Club Diner.  It was an all-around fun time!

Good gravy.  Not only is this thing creepy, it's disgusting.  She eats "real food" (powder you mix with water) and then she "processes" it.  She says things like.... "Oops, I had an accident!" and "I made a stinky!" and yet...she DOESN'T cry.  The food is gross, the thing is a mess, and it's totally not realistic.  Who would really think this is a FUN toy?

Wednesday, May 12, 2010: Procedures and Perkins

I had an upper endoscopy today.  Up at the crack of dawn to go under anestesia and the whole nine...took some biopsies of my small intestine and stomach.  Best part of the whole ordeal?  Breakfast at Perkins at 2:30 in the afternoon with my mom!  (Then home and back to bed for the remainer of the day.)

I finished my class today!! I took my final.  I think I will end up with a B+ in the class, and I'm fine with that.  Glad to have it done and over with.  Alex and Michele and I went out for some celebratory fun afterwards.

Dear, sweet, little Annabelle turned THREE on Monday.  I was invited to her party and celebrations, but I was unable to make it thanks to my A&P exam (only ONE more to go!)  So, I took her out for a special "just us" lunch to celebrate today.  She's a gem.
