It is said that a photograph says a thousand words. I am renewing my resolve to take one photo per day for an approximate total of 365,000 unspoken words.
I had an awesome turnout at the show tonight! My friends from teaching at West Avenue, Kate and Dawn and their families came! So did Patrick and David. And, of course, my momma!
These are the latest craze in the kid world. To this generation, they're as monumental as "slap bracelets," "oil stickers," and "Garbage Pail Kids" were to our generation. You collect them, wear them, trade them, and break them (easily). This, too, shall pass.
This one just caught my eye...at first glance it doesn't look quite right.
Sometimes ella has the most amazing way of making my day. I was singing tonight, and ella was bummin it on the bed (as she likes to do). Out of the blue, right before I got done singing the song, she started to wag her tail. It was like she was clapping for me. It was adorable. I snapped her picture in mid-wag.
Today was an important day for our state. SO MANY of my friends and former colleagues are teachers in the Garden State who are in danger of losing their jobs. Good education provided by high quality teachers should be paramount to our state government. It VITAL to the success of our young people (who will run our nation when we get old!). I SUPPORT education and am proud to say that I did my part today by voting YES for the school budget.

The A&P gods are smiling on me. I got my test back tonight and I got a 96% on it. Then I took the lab practical and I think I aced it. I'm a happy girl.
Back in February, I had pretty extensive water leakage into my apartment, obviously leading to water damage on the ceiling of my bedroom (see 2/12/10 entry). The maintenance staff came to repair the ceiling on Friday and neglected to use a drop cloth. SO, I spent the better part of my weekend dusting and vacuuming my room, and washing my bedding and clothes that were exposed to the mess. Next, I get to find a way to remove the little white specks of paint from my furniture. Lucky me.
And yet, my dusty, dirty, paint-spotted room looked so lovely tonight in the 6:00 sunlight....if you only knew....
Went to The Lion King tonight at the Academy of Music in Philly. As it turns out, my fellow CHETA (Cherry Hill East Theater Alumni), Ben Lipitz, plays Pumbaa, and has for the last 8 years. It was breathtaking. Of course, Ben was awesome in the show...and was so generous to take us backstage afterwards! Tracey, Jen, Rileigh and I had a blast.
So, I FINALLY had my test tonight...feel like I've been studying for a thousand years! I think I did okay. I know I didn't get 100, but I also didn't fail it! So, there you have it!
Just as a side note....I ate some of these after posting this picture...and they're not that good. :( They're definitely not good enough to spend any more calories on.
Went to rehearsal tonight, and there was a FROG on my windshield when I got back in the car! I didn't realize it until I was driving for a while, and I noticed a "blob" all of a sudden! Thank goodness I waited before turning on the wipers. I pulled over, and took his picture. I named him Friedrich. He was kinda cute...in a gross, froggy way.
In hindsight, I should have scooted him off of there while in the neighborhood.. Unfortunately, he "leapt" off on Route 42 at 9:56 PM. :(
It nearly reached 90 degrees today. How crazy is that?! Had to stay cool on such an unusually hot day. This is the ultimate in backyard water adventures. I didn't even have a "Slip 'N' Slide" as a kid!
I'm always really impressed with the landscaping my apartment complex does, but this year it seems to be speaking to me more than ever before. This is in the flower bed as you drive in the complex, and I think it's just lovely.
I'm so crazy ready for the weather to stay this nice and the flowers to continue to bloom...come on summer....you're so close.
So very many hours have been spent in this field with my little girl. It's great to visit it in the warm, sunny weather after all those months tromping through it in the snow and rain.
Easter was wonderful. Went to mass in the morning, had brunch with the folks, and then dinner with friends. It was a beautiful day.
